Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine revealed in a social post directly shared with his worldwide fanbase and Cyber Army that his forthcoming album (due out early next year) will be the final Megadeth studio album of his career. Mustaine shared the announcement via his alter ego Vic Rattlehead (video below). Mustaine also revealed that the multi-platinum superstar band will embark on a global farewell tour kicking off in 2026.

Tom Angelripper, the frontman for German thrash metal legends Sodom, is featured in a new interview with Finland’s Chaoszine. He discusses the band’s forthcoming album, The Arsonist, and the band’s future plans.
During the chat, Angelripper revealed that the band will be touring less than some fans might expect in support of the new record.
Grammy-winning, multiplatinum heavy metal band, Megadeth, have been hard at work on their upcoming 17th studio album, and today the band shared the studio timelapse video below, stating, “The making of our 17th studio album… can’t wait to drop this one.”
Megadeth recently announced an agreement for founder and frontman Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint with the Frontiers Label Group’s new imprint, BLKIIBLK.
German thrash legends Sodom will release The Arsonist on June 27, 2025 via Steamhammer.
The new album will follow-up 2020’s Genesis XIX.
Legendary thrashers Dark Angel have teased an “Extinction Level Event”. The title track from their upcoming album is slated for release on April 11.
Extinction Level Event will be released through Reversed Records is the band’s first album since 1991’s Time Does Not Heal that featured “9 songs, 67 minutes, 246 riffs!”
Bloodstock Open Air organizers have shared the new video below, along with the following introduction:

On May 16, 2025, powerhouse label ROAR! will reissue the first three, iconic records by Swedish thrash and speed metal legends Hexenhaus: A Tribute To Insanity (1988), The Edge Of Eternity (1990), and Awakening (1991).
Available on CD, colored vinyl and digitally, the physical products will also come with new liner notes and an exclusive history text. All formats got remastered by Ronnie Björnström (Mezzrow).
