Kings Of Mercia, the group formed by acclaimed rock/metal guitarist Jim Matheos (Fates Warning, Arch/Matheos) and powerhouse rock vocalist Steve Overland (FM), have released a video for their new single, "Sweet Revenge", from their self-titled debut album, out now via Metal Blade Records.
Steve Overland comments: "I love 'Sweet Revenge', it's a very dark sultry track, all centred around a great heavy riff from Jim. Once again great performances from all the band on this track, one of my favourite K.O.M. tracks."
NWOBHM veterans White Spirit have released a video for the instrumental version of “Rock ‘N’ Roll”. This version of the track is available on the Japanese release of their Right Or Wrong album.
Since the release of Right Or Wrong, the band has been preparing for live shows since the release of Right Or Wrong in July 2022.
Oakland thrashers, Vio-lence, performed on the Ronnie James Dio stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2022. Professionally-filmed video footage of the set opener, "Eternal Nightmare", can be viewed below.

"If Darkness Had A Son" will be featured on Metallica’s 12th studio album, 72 Seasons, out on April 14 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with James Hetfield & Lars Ulrich and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track album is the band’s first full-length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
The band have launched the pre-order for the limited transparent yellow cassette edition of the album, which includes an 8-panel j-card with lyrics.
