Yngwie Malmsteen has revealed that Ian Gillan isn't a fan of his, and that there were "murmurs" of an approach from DEEP PURPLE, as well as a number of artists over the years. The Swedish guitarist made his comments in a brand new interview with Eonmusic while promoting new album "Parabellum", which was released last month via Mascot.
When asked by the site if he had been approached by any big names during his career, he repied: "Yeah, of course. Quite a lot, actually".

The US metallers LADY BEAST are releasing a new EP called “Omens” via Reaper Metal Productions at the beginning of September. In addition to 4 new songs, the EP will contain a cover of the RAINBOW classic "Kill the King".

Reunited San Francisco Bay Area thrashers VIO-LENCE debuted a new song, apparently titled "Upon Their Cross", during their concert this past Friday (August 6) at Strummer's in Fresno, California. The track will appear on the band's upcoming EP, "Let The World Burn", which is due in early 2022 via Metal Blade Records. The effort was recorded at Trident Studios in Pacheco, California with producer Juan Urteaga, who has previously worked with TESTAMENT, MACHINE HEAD and EXODUS
In a recent interview with The Metal Crypt, Insomnium vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen revealed that there will be a new album next year, follow-up to 2019's Heart Like A Grave. The band previously announced that they will release a new EP next month, titled Argent Moon.
In the interview, Sevänen was asked if Insomnium were already working on new material for their ninth studio album.
After 4 years, Ruthless drummer Joe Aghassi has decided to leave the band for personal reasons. Heavy metal veterans already confirmed Bobby Guitrau as the full time replacement. Also new force in the band is the guitarist Glen Alan-Paul.
Ruthless will soon go into the studio to record a new album, the successor to 2019's Evil Within.
The band was in 1982 founded by the singer and guitarist Sammy DeJohn Ken McGee.
