Sometimes I wonder with what criteria the record companies label some new releases. Napalm Records promotes this new release as a “Gothic Metal” album while this one is definitely far from being characterized as such! (are they really listening to the albums before they release them?) Unless they label “Gothic Metal” bands like Tristania or Therion, cause that’s pretty much how Mortemia sound! In fact this is an one –man band and the mastermind behind all this is no other than the founder of Tristania and Sirenia Mr.
Well the man is back and this time with such a different album according to his previous releases. So Scott “Wino” Weinrich well know for being a member of too many bands, just to mention a few, Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan, after his first release under the moniker “Wino” (Punctuated Equilibrium 2009), just decided to release his second effort “adrift” as an – almost – acoustic album, letting his Blues / Southern / Dessert origin to take over his inspiration and creativity.
\r\nEthereal Blue must have some serious issues against bad taste. How else can I explain all this? I can’t help but wonder how these guys still dwell within the underground circles! Everything, from the wrapping to to the last note show class and skills.

\r\nI never had the best feelings about Glam metal,In fact there are much better styles in this genre which called Hard Rock with serious intentions but everything have a price and in a appropriate time.Don’t forget that.
\r\nThis is a great come-back for STAR ONE, which is the band of the very talented artist, Arjen Lucassen; "Victims of the Modern Age” is the successor of the band’s debut album, a band which consists of awesome musicians. Musically, it ‘s based on the same patterns as the first one, but the atmosphere is darker and heavier, overall.
New album from the Swedish Therion “Sitra Ahra” is the finished touch to the quadrilogy they started 6 years ago with the release of “Lemuria”/”Serius B” albums followed by “Gothic Kabbalah” (2007). As with their previous releases the musical pursuits of the mastermind Christofer Johnsson emerge from a dark vortex of sounds that compose “Sitra Ahra”.
With the release of their 6th studio album the Danish Power Metallers Iron Fire\r\nare celebrating a decade of devotion to the genre they serve. \r\n“Metalmorphosized” is in fact an anniversary release consisting of old \r\nre-recorded tracks that, for some reason, the band had never released in\r\nthe past (mostly taken from demos) along with 4 new tracks recorded for\r\nthis exact purpose.
\r\n Eternal Hated come from Volos, Greece and are the live proof that there is a bloodpumping scene emerging from the greek whereabouts and of modern perspective too! This is their second release, having already released the self financed EP "The Rise Of Hated" and this is their first official full length so I’ll refair to it as a debut.

\r\nFor those who consider the year 2010 as a Power Metal Year, well this release is a good reason for them to get more excited. “Aqua” is very interesting and what really stands out is the Holy Land-like mood of the rhythm section and its ethnic orientation that most of their fans worldwide worship. After all, this element is what features their compositions the most, throughout the years; it’s like Power Metal is flirting with Progressive Metal.
